CareLift Equipment has been engineering and building quality rough terrain forklifts ever since 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help their consumers reach their goals since they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These units are straight boom lifts and articulated boom lifts. Usually, these models are hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the great choice for tasks that need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery can rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be raised vertically to below horizontal. Since the operator could steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a really versatile machine. These units are available in gas, diesel or propane configurations as well as 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
The articulated boom lifts are utilized for tasks which need to reach up and over obstacles in order to gain access. These specialized lifts are utilized for tasks which are not easily carried out by straight telescopic booms. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work site.
Some heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers in order to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is required before using boom lifts so as to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for jobs needing many man hours to be done in much less time. These equipment have greatly increased productivity and have changed the material handling industry.
