Narrow aisle forklifts function by increasing the ratio of the storage space to the aisle width. Yale features the double reach NDR and the single reach NR units for aisle widths of eight to ten feet. The Narrow Aisle trucks made by Yale utilize best-in-class ergonomics and offer a Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment that has various control handle and stance configurations.
NR & NDR Productivity Enhancements
Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment: There are many control handle configurations which meet a variety of operations and the aft stance, a choice of fore or side-stance options also.
AC Motor Technology: This technology offers strong acceleration and deceleration as well as fast lifting speeds. It has been designed for quick plugging so as to facilitate more responsive directional changes that combine to increase the amount of cargo moved in a shift.
Reach & Mast Assembly: The tapered roller and trunion mounting bearings are part of the mast reach assembly. This increases the rigidity and durability of the mast; along with the reach assembly carriage which are reinforced for long life as well as the gusseted rear frame weldment.
Power Lowering: Yale provides industry leading lowering speeds and these uploaded speeds greatly improve the overall throughput and production.
Regenerative Lowering: Though regenerative lowering can lessen battery changes per shift it also functions to maintain a lower oil operating temperature.
Electronic Steering: The electronic steering eliminates the need for hydraulic pumps and thus greatly reduces energy. The steering tiller is adjustable by the operator and the technician can adjust the steer effort so as to decrease operator exhaustion. During the start-up process, drive tire centers automatically initiate.
Order Selectors: The narrow aisle trucks and the very narrow aisle trucks are also called order pickers. These machinery are made for the manual handling of racked loads which are smaller than pallet size. These order selectors elevate both the cargo and the operator to its required height. This height can be over 30 feet. Similar with most turret trucks they are usually guided by rail or wire when used in very narrow aisle applications.
