Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck providing versatility and great height. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts can not move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are better in cases requiring high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It comes with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would normally utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform meant specially to raise employees. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a strap or chain that is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
