Heavy Forklifts
With their new series of heavy forklift trucks, Hyundai is targeting a new customer base. A variety of industries, from the concrete and natural stone industries, to the steel industry, the railway sector and the transportation of heavy goods in the ports are all relying upon and working with heavy duty equipment. The power and efficiency offered by the units keep operational costs low and offer the best conditions for economical work. These types of machinery can excel in the most tough environments.
Providing the needed power on all of the large capacity units, the Cummins diesel engine ranges from 162 horse-power to 250 horse-power. TierIII emission standards are met with engines which have 6 cylinders. These models could take the truck up to a speed of 35 km/h. It provides for a high climbing ability on rough terrain and steep slopes and provides great acceleration too.
The operator is able to utilize a switch to be able to pick 1 of 2 driving modes. When in "Power" mode, full power is available for work on heavy loads or tough terrain. In the "STP" mode, the trucks could save lots of fuel during light-duty work. Furthermore, just by pressing a switch, the operator can automatically maintain a chosen speed without touching the accelerator pedal. This is another fuel saving feature. The forklift's fully automatic transmission gently shifts through the gears, making the equipment comfortable to use and simple to maneuver.
The well-ventilated cabin provides a comfortable and spacious working place. The cabin combines fatigue-free work with high performance. The powerful heating and air conditioning system helps ensure the operator has a comfortable interior. The cab was designed ergonomically to provide a bird's eye view of all of the controls, in addition to the unit's overall safety. A CD player and an MP3 player put the finishing touches on giving the enjoyable atmosphere which Hyundai machines are supposed to have.
